Korea inspects food safety on Vietnamese chillies


 

(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the Plant Protection Department, the Korean has just announced that it will inspect the food safety of Vietnamese chillies. In particular, it is required that individuals and businesses exporting chillies must have the testing results for pesticide residues approved by the testing laboratories approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety together with the export shipment. The temporary application period of inspection requirements is 01 year, starting from March 31, 2023 to March 30, 2024.

 

In order to facilitate the production and trading of chillies for export to Korea, in the coming time, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities will coordinate with relevant agencies to strengthen guidance, propaganda and training for people and businesses in the province with relevant regulations as well as solutions to ensure the correct implementation of regulations of importing countries in general and Korea in particular, especially residues of pesticides in chillies.

 

The Provincial Business Association shall announce the content of Korean food safety inspection to members who are exporting or wishing to export chillies to Korea to comply with regulations.

 

Enterprises exporting chillies to Korea must strictly comply with the regulations on food safety inspection of Korea and other relevant regulations requested by the importing country.
