Inspect and strictly handle unsafe traffic conditions on highways passing through the province

Currently, according to reports from people and press agencies, on 02 expressways
passing through the province, there are many cars hit by rocks and gravels,
especially at night; in order to ensure traffic safety on expressways passing
through the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen
Hong Hai has requested relevant departments, agencies and localities to
strengthen inspection and strictly handle the traffic insecurity on these
expressways.
Accordingly, the
People's Committees of districts where 02 expressways pass through shall urgently
direct divisions, agencies, organizations and commune-level People's Committees
to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of relevant legal provisions to people
to understand the potential risk of causing traffic insecurity on the two expressways,
especially the act of throwing rocks and gravels at vehicles traveling on the expressways.
Direct the police force to increase patrol and control, especially at night on
overpasses across expressways to detect and strictly handle the situation of
teenagers gathering on overpasses and throwing stones and gravels at vehicles
traveling on the expressways.
The Vice Chairman
of the Provincial People's Committee also requests the Project Management Board
7 and Thang Long Project Management Board to continue to invest and install
additional rockfall protection nets on both sides of the overpasses at
intersections as proposed by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province.
The Department of
Transport and Provincial Public Security shall grasp the situation and direct
relevant functional forces to coordinate with local authorities to handle
traffic insecurity on expressways passing through the province; at the same
time, regularly update the situation and report to the Provincial People's
Committee for timely monitoring and direction.
