Strengthening environmental protection inside and outside Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster
Lượt xem: 35

(binhthuan.gov.vn) On March 11, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment conducted an inspection of environmental protection measures at the Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster.

The inspection results revealed that the Kim Dao Fish Meal Processing Factory under Kim Dao Animal Feed Co., Ltd. has closed and ceased production. Meanwhile, the Kim Long Fish Meal Processing Factory under Kim Long Fish Meal Processing Joint Stock Company and the Anh Vinh Fish Meal Processing Facility under Anh Vinh Private Enterprise have temporarily halted production due to a lack of raw materials.

However, the inspection also identified significant environmental issues inside and outside the Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster. Various types of waste, debris, and overgrown vegetation have not been collected, and fish wastewater from trucks transporting fish leaks onto the internal roads of the cluster. Additionally, waste collection and drainage systems emit unpleasant odors that affect the surrounding environment.

To address these issues and ensure effective environmental protection in and around the industrial cluster, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has requested the Phan Thiet City People's Committee to prioritize and implement the directives outlined in Official Document No. 4410/UBND-KT dated November 21, 2024. A report on the implementation must be submitted to the Department of Agriculture and Environment before March 31, 2025, for consolidation and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for further consideration and guidance.
