(binhthuan.gov.vn) The People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province has issued the implementation plan on measles vaccination campaign in 2025. This campaign aims to increase the rate of measles immunity in the community, proactively prevent the disease, and reduce the incidence and mortality rates caused by measles, especially in high-risk areas and regions experiencing measles cases or outbreaks.

The plan sets a target of vaccinating 95% of eligible children who have not been vaccinated or have not received the full dose of measles-containing vaccine according to regulations in high-risk areas or areas with ongoing measles cases or outbreaks. The vaccination process will be carried out safely, effectively, and in compliance with Decree No. 104/2016/ND-CP dated July 1, 2016, on vaccination activities, and Decree No. 155/2018/ND-CP dated November 12, 2018 of the Government on amendments and supplements to certain regulations related to business investment conditions under the state management of the Ministry of Health, along with other related regulations.

The measles/measles-rubella vaccination campaign will be implemented from February 2025, starting as soon as vaccines are supplied and no later than one month after receipt. The campaign will be conducted province-wide, prioritizing districts, towns, and cities with ongoing measles cases.

Eligible for vaccination include: Children aged 1 to 10 years old in high-risk areas and areas with ongoing measles cases or outbreaks; healthcare workers at medical facilities treating measles patients who have not received the full dose of measles-containing vaccine as required; specific age groups for vaccination will be determined by districts, towns, and cities based on the local disease situation, vaccine supply from sponsorships, and available local resources.

The plan also outlines several specific tasks related to: Reviewing and listing eligible individuals; communication and awareness campaigns; vaccine supply and distribution; organizing vaccination sessions; monitoring and supervision.
