(binhthuan.gov.vn) In response to Official Letter No.
98/PB-BTN dated March 31, 2025, from the General Department of Preventive
Medicine regarding proactive measures for the prevention and control of avian influenza
A(H5N1), the Department of Health has requested relevant units to carry out the
following tasks:
Regularly update information on infectious diseases around
the world that may pose a risk of entering Vietnam (especially from neighboring
countries) and provinces that have reported outbreaks of avian influenza in
poultry. Strengthen surveillance to detect, isolate, and apply preventive
measures for any suspected or confirmed cases of the disease as soon as they
enter the province.
Coordinate closely with the agricultural sector and local
authorities to update information on avian influenza outbreaks in poultry,
share information promptly, and cooperate in addressing and eliminating the
outbreaks.
Proactively implement measures for preventing and controlling
human infections; increase surveillance to detect suspected cases early,
collect epidemiological history, particularly for those showing symptoms of
severe acute respiratory infections at medical facilities, and collect samples
for diagnosis. Be prepared to organize quarantine, isolation, treatment, and
manage outbreaks according to the guidelines from the Ministry of Health.
Enhance public information and communication on preventing
the transmission of avian influenza from animals to humans, especially in areas
with sick or dead animals and poultry, as well as high-risk zones.
Ensure the availability of medicines, materials, chemicals,
and equipment to support local authorities in implementing measures to handle
outbreaks effectively.
Comply with reporting requirements for infectious diseases,
as outlined in Circular No. 54/2015/TT-BYT dated December 28, 2015, by the
Minister of Health, and send updated reports to the Provincial Center for
Disease Control for compilation and reporting to the Department of Preventive
Medicine (via email: baocaobtn@gmail.com).
