Binh Thuan Social Security to announce deadline for submission of documents

(binhthuan.gov.vn) To facilitate the handover to regional
and inter-district social insurance agencies operating under the new model
starting from April 01, 2025, Binh Thuan Social Security has announced
that documents regarding contributions, issuance of social security books,
and health insurance cards from units in March 2025 must be submitted to the
provincial Social Security before March 25, 2025. If documents arise
after this date, units should defer their submission to April 2025.
Previously, on February 26, 2025, the Minister of Finance
issued Decision No. 391/QĐ-BTC, defining the functions, duties, powers, and
organizational structure of Vietnam Social Security. Accordingly, Vietnam
Social Security operates under the Ministry of Finance and is structured
across three levels from the central to local levels.
The agency comprises 14 advisory units at the central level,
35 regional social security agencies, and district-level social security
offices, including those at the district, town, city levels within
provinces and centrally governed cities, and inter-district social security agencies
(collectively known as district-level social security).
Regional social security agencies have legal status,
their own seals, and independent accounts as regulated by law and are organized
with an average of no more than 10 advisory divisions. District-level social security
agencies under regional social security also possess legal status,
their own seals, and independent accounts, with a maximum of 350 units
nationwide. These district-level agencies do not have internal subdivisions.
According to the reorganization plan, Binh Thuan Social Security
will belong to Regional Social Insurance XXVIII, along with Ba Ria - Vung
Tau Province, with the headquarters located in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
