(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the report from Saigon Traffic
Construction Joint Stock Company (the management and maintenance unit of the
Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway from Km 178+655 to Km 194+617), there has been
a recurring issue of locals opening fences and grazing livestock within the
road safety corridor of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway, causing traffic
safety disruptions and posing a high risk of accidents. The company has
repeatedly removed livestock from the road safety corridor, but the situation
persists, affecting traffic safety on the expressway.
To ensure traffic safety on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and
Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressways passing through Binh Thuan Province and to
protect state property, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr.
Nguyễn Hồng Hải, has issued a directive requiring the People's Committees of
Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam, and Ham Tan districts to
strengthen the dissemination of relevant legal regulations. The aim is to help
residents understand the risks to traffic safety on expressways, especially
concerning unauthorized cutting of barbed wire fences, grazing livestock, and
allowing animals within the expressway safety corridor. Additionally, local
police forces are instructed to increase patrols and promptly detect and
strictly handle violations as per the law.
Vice Chairman Nguyễn Hồng Hải also assigned the Department
of Construction to monitor and inspect the implementation of these measures by
local authorities. Furthermore, the department is tasked with regularly
updating and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for timely guidance
and instruction.
