Strengthening fire prevention and control

report from the Tuy Phong District Forest Protection Division, a fire occurred
on March 20, 2025, at the Tau Mountain area in Phuoc The Commune, Tuy Phong
District. The fire affected approximately 2 hectares, burning undergrowth,
grass, and shrubs on the ground.
In response, the Chairman of the Provincial People's
Committee requested the Tuy Phong District People's Committee to provide a
detailed report on the incident, including the cause of the fire, the extent of
the damage, and the response measures taken. The report must be submitted to
the Provincial People's Committee no later than March 25, 2025.
Additionally, the Chairman instructed the People's
Committees of districts, towns, and cities to enhance the implementation of
effective fire prevention and control measures within their jurisdictions to
minimize fire damage, especially during the peak of the dry season in 2025.
They are also required to organize public information and education campaigns
to raise awareness about fire prevention and control. Any incidents must be
promptly reported to the Provincial People's Committee for guidance.
It is reported that at 8:00 p.m. on March 20, 2025, a fire
broke out in several areas of the Tau Mountain in Phuoc The Commune, Tuy Phong
District. Upon discovering the fire, the Secretary and Chairman of the Tuy
Phong District People's Committee promptly directed the police, military, and
border guard forces to take timely firefighting measures. With the support of
local residents, the fire was completely extinguished by 9:00 p.m. on the same
day.
