(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has signed a decision approving the admission plan for grade 10 high schools for the 2025-2026 academic year in Binh Thuan Province.

The goal of the plan is to organize the admission process for grade 10 high schools in accordance with the current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. It aims to improve the overall quality of education at educational institutions, implement educational streaming after students complete lower secondary education (middle school), and ensure that the admission process is streamlined, accurate, objective, safe, cost-effective, and meets the aspirations of the applicants. The plan aims to select qualified students for grade 10 based on the current general education curriculum, catering to both talent development and the need for a diverse workforce in the province. It also aims to accommodate the learning needs of local students, aligning with the existing infrastructure, facilities, and teaching staff. Additionally, a database system will be established to link the evaluation of lower secondary graduation with grade 10 admissions, helping to assess student performance and improve the quality of lower and upper secondary education in the coming years.

For admission to specialized high schools, students must have graduated from lower secondary schools in Binh Thuan Province, with an overall assessment of “Good” or higher for each school year in lower secondary, and a minimum annual average score of 8.0 in grade 9 for the subject relevant to the specialized exam. For admission to non-specialized high schools, students must have graduated from lower secondary schools in Binh Thuan Province or have permanent residence in the province (as of the application deadline).

The admission method includes one-time entrance exams for both specialized and non-specialized high schools. A unified exam will be organized across the province. Direct admission and priority policies will be applied according to the admission regulations for lower and upper secondary schools set by the Ministry of Education and Training. The Department of Education and Training will determine the enrollment quotas for public specialized and non-specialized high schools in line with the sector's development strategy. All candidates must take three compulsory exams: Mathematics, Literature, and a third subject. Candidates applying for specialized high schools must also take a specialized exam in their chosen subject.

The Grade 10 entrance exam for the 2025-2026 academic year will take place over four days (from June 3 to June 6, 2025). The entrance exam for the Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding High School will be held separately on May 30 and May 31, 2025.
