Salt production reaches 60.53% of 2025 annual target in first half of the year

(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to statistical data, by
June 2025, Binh Thuan province had produced approximately 42,970 tons of salt
out of the 2025 target of 71,000 tons, achieving 60.53% of the annual
production plan.
In June alone, the total salt
production area reached approximately 519 hectares, primarily under Vinh Hao
Salt Joint Stock Company. The month’s salt output was estimated at 8,654 tons,
including 8,580 tons of industrial salt and about 74 tons of refined (clean)
salt. Processed salt output reached around 2,492 tons, including 1,976 tons of
dried salt and 516 tons of refined salt. The volume of salt sold in June was
about 7,235 tons.
Salt prices in June were recorded as
follows: Clean salt: VND 1,200/kg; Industrial salt: VND 950/kg; Dried salt: VND
1,600/kg; Refined salt: VND 1,320/kg; Traditional (handcrafted) salt: VND
1,000/kg
As of June 2025, cumulative salt
inventory stood at approximately 41,237 tons, comprising 40,280 tons of
industrial salt, 125 tons of clean salt, 513 tons of dried salt, and 317 tons
of refined salt. In total, the province's salt production for the first half of
the year reached 42,970 tons, achieving 60.53% of the 2025 plan. This included
33,369 tons of industrial salt, 800 tons of clean salt, and approximately 8,800
tons of traditional salt produced by local salt farmers.
