Over 4.5 million visitors to Binh Thuan in the first five months of 2025

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Since the beginning of the
year, Binh Thuan's tourism and service sectors have shown strong growth,
supported by favorable conditions such as extended holiday periods, good
weather, improved transportation, and a wide range of attractive promotions.
Notably, a series of large-scale events celebrating the 50th
anniversary of Binh Thuan’s liberation and the Reunification Day of Vietnam
(including the hot air balloon festival, high-altitude fireworks displays, and
integrated art performances) significantly boosted visitor numbers and tourism
revenue compared to the same period in 2024.
According the Provincial Statistics Office, the number of tourist
arrivals in May was estimated at 992.3 thousand, up 12.1% from the previous
month and 28.11% compared to the same period last year. Accumulated over the
first five months of 2025, total tourist arrivals reached approximately 4.529
million, an increase of 17.76% year-on-year.
International arrivals in May were estimated at nearly 46 thousand, up
11.62% from the previous month and a notable 88.41% increase year-on-year.
Cumulatively, international arrivals for the first five months of 2025 reached
241.6 thousand, up 28.19% over the same period in 2024. The majority of
international visitors came from China, South Korea, Russia, Germany, the
United States, and the United Kingdom. The structure of international visitors
saw a notable shift in the proportions of Korean and Chinese tourists.
Tourism revenue in May was estimated at VND 2,706.9 billion, up 11.77%
from the previous month and 33.33% compared to the same period last year. Total
revenue for the first five months of 2025 was estimated at VND 12,270.1
billion, marking an 18.74% year-on-year increase.
According to the provincial tourism sector, in addition to favorable
weather and diversified tourism products, promotional and communication efforts
have been strengthened through mass media and social media platforms. Various
new tours have been developed, including sightseeing and photo tours at the Bau
Trang National Scenic Site, themed around the film “Face Off 8: Embrace of
light”, as well as agricultural tourism and a Photo Tour campaign in
partnership with the Vietnam Airlines media ecosystem.
Moreover, restaurants and food service establishments have maintained
food safety standards and adhered to posted pricing. Travel agencies reported
healthy growth, with increases in tour packages, support services, and
entertainment offerings compared to the previous month and the same period last
year.
