Air Regiment 920 conducts first solo closed-circuit flight training for cadets

Thiet Airport, Air Regiment 920 under the Air Force Officer Training School
successfully conducted a flight training session for cadets, featuring their
first solo closed-circuit flight mission for the 2025 training program.
Thanks
to thorough preparation, strong ideological education, and careful coordination
across all aspects of the training, cadets completed their first solo
closed-circuit flight on the Iak-52 trainer aircraft with outstanding
performance. This event also marked the Regiment’s first solo flight release at
the newly operational Phan Thiet Airport.
The
solo closed-circuit flight is a crucial milestone in military aviation
training, representing the first independent flight each cadet must complete.
It serves not only as a technical and psychological assessment of the cadet
pilots’ flying capabilities but also as a key indicator of the quality and
effectiveness of the Regiment’s overall training efforts.
The
successful execution of this flight mission highlights the cadets’ growing
competence, confidence, and readiness. It also reflects the Regiment’s high
standards in flight instruction and will serve as a solid foundation for
enhancing flight training quality and ensuring flight safety throughout 2025
and beyond.
