Rescue has released a report on the recent heavy rain and tornado that struck
Huy Khiem Commune, Tanh Linh District, on June 2, 2025.
According to the report, at approximately 2:30 PM on June 2,

several monitoring stations across Tanh Linh District on the same day included:

The storm caused severe damage to residential structures,
completely unroofing over 70% of four houses. The total estimated damage is
approximately VND 306 million.
Immediately after the storm subsided, the district’s
Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue was on

and volunteer response forces assisted residents in cleaning up debris and
relocating affected families to safe areas to stabilize living conditions.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee has
requested the Tanh Linh District Steering Committee to continue guiding local
communes and towns to regularly update and disseminate weather forecasts and
disaster warnings. Additionally, authorities are urged to strengthen public
awareness campaigns on preparedness and response measures for windstorms, hail,
and lightning, especially during the rainy season. Inspections of makeshift
homes and reinforcement of weak structures should also be prioritized to
mitigate future risks.
