Duc Linh District People's Committee has just issued the drug prevention and
control in 2024.
Accordingly, the
District People's Committee sets a number of specific goals as follows: Restrain
and not let drug problems arise in Sung Nhon commune (there was no drug
problems in 2023); Strive to have at least one commune or town without drug
problems. Focus on preventing the formation of complex drug-related key areas
and routes, especially the organized drug crime lines operating across
districts and provinces.
Promote propaganda
and raise people's awareness in drug prevention. Improve the effectiveness of
management of addicts, illegal drug users, detoxification and post-detoxification
management; thoroughly resolve the complicated drug situation in bordering
areas. At the same time, strictly manage the number of addicts and illegal
users of narcotics, especially the number of synthetic drug users with signs of
“psychosis” to take measures to prevent criminal acts.
Ensuring that 100%
of denunciations, information about crimes, and recommendations for prosecution
related to drugs are received and classified... Investigation, prosecution, and
trial of drug crimes must strictly comply with regulations, ensuring the right
person, the right crime...; 100% of drug crimes are resolved and brought to
trial; prevent the formation of drug hotspots; curb the increase of addicts...
Strictly control
100% of precursors, narcotic drugs, psychotropic drugs, and veterinary drugs
containing narcotics, not allowing subjects to take advantage of drug-related
crimes. Not to allow the planting or re-planting of plants containing narcotics
in the areas...
To achieve the
above goals, Duc Linh District People's Committee will strengthen inspection,
supervision, and urge the implementation of drug prevention and control at
agencies, units, and People's Committees of communes and towns. Promote the
transformation of all aspects of drug prevention from "traditional"
to "modern", applying science and technology.
Review, evaluate
and replicate advanced models and examples in drug prevention, vocational training,
job introduction, supporting and helping addicts, illegal drug users, and people
who reintegrate into the community after detoxification. Timely praise and
reward to promptly encourage outstanding examples in drug prevention./.
