Consumer Price Index increased by 0.18% in 5/2020

(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the data reported by
the Provincial Statistical Office, the consumer price index (CPI) in May 2020
increased by 0.18% over the previous month; decreased by 1.39% compared to
December 2019.
Specifically, compared to
the previous month, there were 03/11 commodity and service groups with reduced
price index. In which: Transportation dropped the most (2.52%) due to the
impact of petrol and diesel prices; the household appliances and equipment
decreased by 0.05%; medicine and medical service decreased by 0.02%.
In
the opposite, there were 06/11 groups of goods and services with increased price
index increases, specifically: Food and catering services increased by 0.55%;
beverage and tobacco group increased by 0.32% due to hot weather, the demand
for soft drinks had increased (mineral water price increased by 2.70%);
housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by
1.17%, mainly due to the gas price was up by 12.27%; culture, entertainment and
tourism group increased by 0.40%; Other goods and services increased by 0.06%.
The
remaining two groups, post and telecommunications and education still kept
stable index, neither increase nor decrease compared to the previous month.
