(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to a initial report from the
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during this year's April 30 – May 1
holiday (from April 30 to May 4), Binh Thuan’s tourism sector is estimated to
have welcomed around 228,000 visitor arrivals. The average occupancy rate
during peak days ranged from 75% to 95%, with estimated revenue reaching 450
billion VND.
During
the holiday period, the highest concentration of tourists visiting the province
was recorded in the first three days (April 30 – May 2), with the average room
occupancy rate exceeding 90%. Specifically, 1- to 2-star hotels and equivalent
accommodations reached approximately 80% occupancy, while 3- to 5-star resorts
and hotels and equivalents exceeded 90%. The majority of tourists were domestic
travelers from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Khanh Hoa,
provinces in the Mekong Delta, and Hanoi. Most visitors traveled in family
groups or with friends using personal vehicles. A smaller portion of tourists
came via travel agencies or booked accommodations through online travel
platforms. Notably, nearly 20% of the total number of staying guests were
international tourists, primarily from South Korea, China, Japan, Germany, the
United States, and various Northern European countries.

According
to the evaluation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, thanks to
positive impacts from several factors such as convenient transportation, cool
weather, and increased demand for leisure and resort tourism along the coastal
and island areas, Binh Thuan attracted a large number of visitors.
Additionally, most tourism and service businesses in the province’s key tourist
areas have made thorough preparations to meet visitor demands, with particular
emphasis on improving service quality.
Additionally,
this year’s holiday coincided with the 50th anniversary of national
reunification, which added to the appeal with a wide range of vibrant cultural
and sports events designed to attract tourists. These included popular beach
sports such as kite surfing, windsurfing, and wave surfing; the traditional
boat racing festival on the Ca Ty River; a 3D Mapping show and artistic
performances; the highlight Summer Fest 2025 series featuring artistic
fireworks displays, a water-splashing festival, fashion shows, and a beer
festival at NovaWorld Phan Thiet … all of which drew large crowds of visitors
to participate and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
