La Gi town focuses on vocational training and job creation

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Recognizing vocational training and job
creation as key tasks, La Gi town has implemented comprehensive and effective
solutions to improve the quality of vocational education along with employment
promotion. These efforts have made significant contributions to improving local
living standards, fostering socio-economic development, reducing poverty, and
advancing new rural development.
Since the beginning of the year, La Gi town
has consistently and promptly implemented social welfare and social security
policies, especially during holidays and Tet. It has also continued the shift
toward non-cash payments for social security beneficiaries. Social protection
efforts and programs for child care and protection have been maintained. The
“Gratitude Fund” has mobilized 194.77 million VND, reaching 32.5% of the annual
target.
Vocational training and employment efforts in
2025 have been focused and directed by local leadership. As of June 30, 2025,
the town has created jobs for an estimated 3,793 people, 140.48% of the plan.
Among them, 680 workers received loans for job creation, reaching 161.90% of
the assigned target.
Additionally, La Gi town has actively
implemented the province’s plan to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing
during the 2024 - 2025 period. According to Decision No. 431/QD-UBND dated
March 4, 2025, La Gi has 9 eligible households (2 poor and 7 other
disadvantaged households). As of May 7, 2025, the town had started construction
on all 9 houses, with 6 already completed and handed over. The local “Fund for
the Poor” has raised 418.7 million VND, reaching 49.25% of the provincial
target and 46.5% of the town’s goal.
