Commemoration Activities for the 80th Anniversary of the Provincial Armed Forces’ Traditional Day
(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Provincial People's Committee
has recently issued a plan to organize activities commemorating the 80th
anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Bình Thuận Provincial Armed Forces
(August 25, 1945 – August 5, 2025).
Through these commemorative activities, the aim is to
widely promote among cadres, soldiers, and the general public the glorious
tradition of the provincial armed forces in the struggle for national
liberation, as well as in the cause of national construction and defense. At
the same time, the activities aim to educate and inspire national pride and
patriotism, uphold revolutionary homeland traditions, strengthen national
defense and security, and build a strong people’s armed force. This force will
work alongside others to maintain political security, social order and safety,
thereby promoting socio-economic development and contributing to the firm
protection of the Fatherland in the new context.
The plan emphasizes that the commemoration of the 80th
anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Bình Thuận Provincial Armed Forces
will be held in conjunction with major national and local celebrations in 2025.
Additionally, the plan seeks to intensify the emulation movement for decisive
victory within the provincial armed forces, in connection with the local
patriotic emulation movement; to effectively carry out the peak emulation
campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution
and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 –
September 2, 2025); to foster creativity, improve capacity and responsibility,
and excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, contributing to building a clean,
strong Party organization in the Provincial Military Command and other party
organizations within the armed forces. The goal is to develop a comprehensively
strong, exemplary, and outstanding armed force.
The commemorative activities must be led and directed
closely, implemented synchronously with focus and priorities, and aligned with
the specific conditions and circumstances of each locality, agency, and unit.
The events must be practical, safe, economical, and educationally meaningful,
while avoiding ostentation and superficial formalities.
The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the
Steering Committee for the Organization of Major Anniversaries and Important
Historical Events of the Province to directly oversee the activities. The
Provincial Military Command will take the lead and coordinate with the
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Veterans Association,
and other relevant departments and sectors to develop and issue a detailed plan
for the Commemorative Ceremony. It will also coordinate the implementation of
activities to show gratitude, visit, and present gifts to policy beneficiaries
and armed forces units in the province. In addition, a peak emulation campaign
will be organized to celebrate the occasion; traditional publications and
propaganda materials on the armed forces will be compiled and distributed;
efforts will be made to defend the ideological foundation of the Party and
counter hostile and false viewpoints. A contest for literary and artistic
creations on the theme of the provincial armed forces will be launched, along
with a public art performance festival. The Provincial Border Guard Command
will organize commemorative and propaganda activities within its force and
coordinate with the Provincial Military Command to review the list of delegates
from the Border Guard to attend the Commemorative Ceremony as prescribed.
