(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the Provincial Public
Security, during the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 4, 2025, traffic order
and safety on road, railway, and waterway routes through the province remained
stable. There were no traffic jams or particularly serious traffic accidents.
The number of traffic accidents dropped significantly.
During this holiday period, the Traffic Police
Department (CSGT) maintained 100% personnel on duty and mobilized maximum
forces, vehicles, and technical equipment to patrol, control, and handle
violations on traffic routes. Thanks to these efforts, traffic order and safety
were ensured, allowing people to enjoy a safe holiday. On road routes, there
were 7 traffic accidents resulting in 2 deaths and 11 injuries. Compared to the
same period in 2024, the number of accidents decreased by 5 cases (7 vs. 12),
the number of deaths remained unchanged (2), and the number of injuries
increased by 1 (11 vs. 10).
Besides organizing patrol teams from various traffic
control units, the CSGT also set up special teams led by department leaders to
directly supervise alcohol level checks in Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Tan Linh
districts, and La Gi town. These teams detected 39 violations, many with breath
alcohol levels exceeding 0.4 mg per liter of breath.
Traffic patrol units organized 206 patrol shifts with
507 officer turns participating. They detected and issued administrative
violation reports for 643 traffic law violations, with estimated fines totaling
about 1.7 billion VND. Authorities temporarily seized 178 vehicles, suspended 5
driver’s licenses, and deducted points from 77 licenses. Strict enforcement was
focused on violations directly causing accidents, including 139 alcohol-related
offenses, 119 speeding violations, and 83 motorcycle violations related to
overtaking, lane use, and disobeying traffic signals. On waterways, one case of
a jet ski operator without valid registration was penalized.
