Binh Thuan Tourism continues to grow in Q1/2025

(binhthuan.gov.vn) – According the Provincial Statistics Office, Binh Thuan tourism continued to grow in the first quarter of 2025, welcoming more than 2.6 million visitors, an increase of 13.78% compared to the same period last year.

 

Tourism businesses actively prepared to serve visitors during the Lunar New Year. In addition to hosting a series of New Year celebration events such as the “Tet NovaWorld” at NovaWorld Phan Thiet and the opening of the night food street, the Bien Que Huong community-based tourism area also featured several traditional local sports events. These included the coracle boat race festival, the Mui Ne sand dune running, the Ta Cu Mountain climbing competition, the Binh Thanh sand dune running, and the Mui Ne International Windsurfing Open, all of which attracted large numbers of local residents and tourists.

 

Promotional activities were also enhanced, and tourism products were developed in alignment with different types of tourism such as eco-tourism, community-based tourism, sports and beach tourism, and agricultural tourism... The visa exemption policy and electronic visa issuance continued to prove effective, while distinctive and appealing tourism products and services, as well as stimulus programs to attract international visitors, received focused attention.

 

In Q1/2025, Binh Thuan welcomed an estimated 2.6 million visitors, up 13.78% year-on-year. Among them, international arrivals reached approximately 152 thousand, a rise of 17.55% compared to the same period last year. The structure of international visitors showed a shift, with tourists from China and Russia beginning to return, while the number of South Korean visitors declined. Countries contributing the largest shares of international tourists included China, South Korea, Russia, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom…. Revenue from tourism activities reached 7,050 billion VND, an increase of 16.24% year-on-year. In March alone, the number of tourists was estimated at 793 thousand arrivals, generating approximately VND 2,213.8 billion VND in revenue.
