02 ports in Phan Thiet city are added into the detailed plan of the South Central seaport group, orientation to 2030

In order to promote tourism development and contribute to the socio-economic
development of Binh Thuan province and the region, the Ministry of Transport
has approved the addition of 02 passenger ports in Phan Thiet City into the
detailed plan of the South Central seaport group, period to 2020, orientation
to 2030.
According to the
direction of the Ministry of Transport, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan
province must request relevant provincial agencies to coordinate closely with
the Vietnam Maritime Administration to guide and supervise investors in
implementing steps in accordance with regulations on maritime industry, legal
regulations on investment, construction, environmental resources and relevant
legal regulations, and in accordance with seaport planning and related plans,
ensuring maritime security and safety, fire prevention and environmental
protection.
The Vietnam
Maritime Administration shall update the information of detailed plan of 02
passenger ports serving tourism in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province into
the detailed plan of the South Central seaport group, period to 2020,
orientation to 2030 and detailed plan for development of land and seaport
waters of Binh Thuan province in the period of 2021 - 2030, orientation to
2050; promptly coordinate closely with departments, agencies and units of Binh
Thuan province in the preparation process of technical and specialized plans; at
the same time, report issues beyond competency so that the Ministry of
Transport can organize meeting with localities to consider and unify arising obstacles;
strengthen supervision organization to improve the effectiveness and efficiency
of the maritime industry state management in the region, ensuring maritime
safety and security; fire and explosion prevention and environmental
protection.
