3rd injection for people aged 18 years and over reaches over 50%

rate of 3rd dose of COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 18 and over in the
province has reached more than 50%. The Health sector recommends that people should
actively participate in COVID-19 vaccination to soon achieve a high rate of
vaccine coverage in the community.
According the
Department of Health, up to this point, the province has administered 3 doses
of COVID-19 vaccine to 518,941/902,752 people aged 18 and over, reaching 57.5%.
Children born in 2004-2009 (from 12 to 17 years old) reaches 100% of 2nd dose
taken; children born in 2010 the rate of 1st and 2nd dose taken are 73.1% and
70.5%, respectively. As for children from 5 to under 11 years old, the 1st dose
of vaccine was given to 24,443 children, reaching 19.3%.
Up to now, 100% of
people aged 18 and over in the province have been vaccinated with 2 doses of
COVID-19 vaccine. As the coverage of the COVID-19 vaccine is at a high level,
the infection rate will be decreased, thereby ensuring a safe and flexible
adaptation in the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic for the new
period.
Whenever the
vaccination rate is high and the coverage in the community reaches 70% to 85%
or more, it will reduce the risk of disease spread and effectively protect the
community against the pathogens, while helping people soon to return to normal
life, develop economy and production. Therefore, the localities of the province
are trying to focus on completing the 3rd dose vaccination as soon as possible./.
