About 400 foreign citizens are vaccinated against COVID-19

16/10/2021, about 400 foreign citizens from 28 different countries living in
Phan Thiet city received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine organized by the
Provincial Center for Disease Control.
It is known that the
majority of foreign citizens who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 are
currently living and working in Phan Thiet city. In addition, many cases are
trapped, unable to return their home countries due to the COVID-19 epidemic. In
which, the number of Russians in Ham Tien ward accounts for the largest
proportion.
Before the
vaccination, the Provincial Center for Disease Control coordinated with the
People's Committee of Phan Thiet city to receive information, review the list,
and arrange interpreters to support the foreign citizens.
The implementation of
COVID-19 vaccination for foreign citizens shows the policy of non-discrimination
in the health care among Vietnamese citizens and foreign citizens living,
studying and working in Vietnam. Foreign citizens will be provided with
favorable conditions for vaccination against COVID-19, for the goal of forming the
community immunity, and soon repelling the disease./.
