Actively preventing dangerous diseases on livestock and poultry

In order to actively prevent dangerous diseases on livestock and poultry from
arising and spreading, and to ensure disease safety for livestock development,
the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has requested the Department
of Agriculture and Rural Development to chair over and coordinate with relevant
departments, agencies and the People's Committees of districts, towns and
cities in implementing urgently drastic and synchronous measures to prevent and
control livestock and poultry diseases under the direction of the Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development.
In
particular, to focus on organizing the month of general environmental cleaning,
disinfection and decontamination in the first phase of 2023 from March 1, 2023
to March 31, 2023. Urgently to review and organize vaccination against
diseases, especially for dangerous diseases in livestock such as Avian
Influenza, Foot-and-mouth disease, Blue ear, Eczema, Rabies... in the localities.
Actively
monitoring livestock and poultry diseases, especially in areas where epidemics
have occurred, or high-risk areas for early detection, warning and definitive
treatment as soon as new disease is detected.
Strengthening
quarantine management, controlling the transport of animals and animal
products; preventing and strictly handling cases of illegal transport of
animals and animal products; proactively coordinating with market surveillance
agencies and relevant agencies to strengthen inspection, supervision, detection
and strictly handling cases of trading, transporting, slaughtering animals,
processing products that do not meet the requirements on disease prevention and
control, or food safety.
Instructing
farmers to increase the application of measures of hygiene and disinfection by
lime powder and chemicals in the barn and surrounding areas with high risk;
taking measures to prevent disease vectors from entering the barns, spraying
disinfectants and insecticides against vector species.
Strengthening
the work of information and propaganda in various forms with contents suitable
to each audience and risk, the harms of the epidemic and prevention and control
measures.
