Activities in response to the “Earth Hour” 2022 Campaign

(binhthuan.gov.vn) In order to raise the awareness of saving electricity and protecting the environment, the Department of Industry and Trade has requested relevant departments, agencies and units to coordinate in organizing activities to respond to the "Earth Hour" 2022 Campaign launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The time to respond to the "Earth Hour" 2022 Campaign is from 20:30 to 21:30, Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Accordingly, agencies, offices, public non-business units, fatherland fronts, mass organizations, production and business establishments must turn off lights and electrical equipment that are not really necessary at the time of the "Earth Hour" 2022 Campaign. Propagandizing and popularizing the State legal documents on electricity saving to raise awareness for cadres and civil servants, officials and employees in order to build a common sense to contribute to mitigating global climate change; in particular, turn off the electricity and do not use unnecessary electrical appliances in family activities during "Earth Hour" 2022 time.

The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities direct the Urban and Environmental Services Joint Stock Company and the Public Works Management Boards to turn off at least half the number of public lights suitably for each road and area under their management at the time of the "Earth Hour" 2022 event. People's Committees of communes, wards, townships, enterprises, production facilities, service and tourism businesses, organizations and individuals using electricity to actively participate in responding to "voluntarily" turning off lights and turning off unnecessary electrical equipment during the "Earth Hour" 2022 event by appropriate forms.
