February 16, districts, towns and cities in the province will simultaneously
hold a ceremony to receive troops. At this time, all preparations are being
actively and carefully implemented by localities.
In 2022, the
Government assigned Binh Thuan to select and call up citizens to enlist in the
People's Army and perform the obligation to join the People's Police of 1,631
citizens (of which military service is 1,300 citizens). Up to now, the whole
province has issued 1,361 orders to young people with over 1,300 targets
assigned to meet the enlistment criteria. In which, in terms of education
level, there are 168 young people with university and college degrees,
accounting for 12.3%; over 90% of young people aged 18-20; nearly 700 young people
achieved health grade 1 and 2, and 25 communist party members.
Due to the impact of
the Covid-19, the recruitment of local troops faced many difficulties. However,
localities have been active and proactive in reviewing, obtaining sources as
well as propaganda to raise the awareness of young people in the observance of
the Law on Military Service. In particular, the recruitment of troops is always
closely linked with the COVID-19 prevention and control at every stage and
step. 100% of young people who are recruited to join the army receive 2 doses
of COVID-19 vaccine; the Military Service Council also prioritizes vaccination
with 3rd dose (booster dose) for citizens receiving the call to enlist and
organizes testing for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR technique for 100% of young people
before joining the army.
In order to promptly
encourage young people to prepare for the enlistment, localities have visited
and given gifts to each citizen enlisting, each gift from 800,000 to 1 million
dong. At the same time, strictly managing the enlisted citizens and ensure the vehicles
for transporting to the district-level military delivery and receipt locations
on time.
