Bac Binh district actively prepares plan for prevention of drought and water shortage in dry season in 2021-2022

being proactive in preventing droughts and water shortages, ensuring water supply
for people's livelihood and agricultural production in the dry season of 2021 -
2022, the People's Committee of Bac Binh district has arranged a concentrated
sowing schedule, specifically to each region, each field to facilitate the
supply of water for irrigation, developing production plans for each season in
accordance with the capacity of water resources. At the same time, continuing
to monitor the weather situation, water reserves in irrigation systems, assessing
the hydro-meteorological situation, drought to inform communes, towns and
people for proactive response.
Mobilizing people to increase the use
of equipment for household water supply and storage in drought and water shortage
areas, such as: water storage tanks, household water purifiers. Simultaneously,
mobilizing local forces to organize the repair, dredging, and clearance of
in-field canals to ensure the delivery of irrigation water to the field;
resolutely dealing with cases of arbitrarily blocking, filling, digging and
cutting canals for water that do not follow the water supply plan; disputes
over water sources causing insecurity in the district.
