Bac Binh district has well performed in linking production with consumption of agricultural products

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of production linkages associated with the consumption of agricultural products, in recent years Bac Binh district has implemented many core solutions, especially strengthening propaganda, mobilizing people, and raising awareness of the agricultural commodity production, production linkagess; Thereby, it has created positive changes in people's awareness of production linkages and actively responded and participated enthusiastically.

On the basis of important industries and products that need to be encouraged and prioritized to support the implementation of linkages between production and consumption of agricultural products in the province, Bac Binh District People's Committee determined development to focus on priority and key products available in the locality such as dragon fruit, rice, products from cattle raising ... Besides, the District People's Committee also reviewed the area of rice to zone the areas fro seed rice production and areas for high-quality commercial rice production associated with post-harvest consumption. Actively integrating funds from the National Target Program on new rural development and rice land supports to link production and consumption of agricultural products; at the same time, promoting the brand name for potential and strong agricultural products of the district to the consumer markets.

Up to now, many farming households with rice land have participated in the transformation of new rice varieties, application of advanced techniques in rice production and associated consumption of post-harvest products; the cooperatives have actively signed with businesses and investors inside and outside the district to cooperate in investing in seeds and agricultural materials, and increasing their post-harvest purchasing links year by year. Specifically, in 2019 the consumption link was 50 hectares, 250 ha in 2020, 600 ha in 2021, and more than 3,200 ha in 2022. Through the implementation, the majority of farmers enthusiastically supported, the extent of spreading among the people in the production of new rice varieties, high quality rice varieties associated with linkages and product consumption was increasing, step by step changing from traditional rice production to sustainable linkage.

Thanks to the implementation of production linkages associated with the consumption of agricultural products, the economy of Bac Binh district has had a fairly stable development, the crop structure has shifted to suit local conditions, especially the production conversion from traditional rice varieties to new rice varieties and high quality rice varieties has brought about certain results; the application of scientific, technical and high-tech advances to agricultural production is encouraged, gradually increasing the value of rice products. The material and spiritual life of rural people has continued to improve.
