Bac Binh district suffered by heavy rain

According to Bac Binh District People's Committee, in September 2022, there
were many prolonged heavy rains, accompanied by continuous thunderstorms and
lightning in Bac Binh district; along with the water flow from upstream to
rivers, streams, and in-field canals, causing heavy inundation in some rice fields
in Phan Hoa, Phan Hiep, Phan Ri Thanh, Hong Thai, Hai Ninh communes.
The consequences
include: 1 death; 499 hectares of rice of 682 households were flooded; 02 cows were
swept away; 01 in-field traffic route in Dong Mang Dam area was seriously
eroded with a length of about 60m, width of 1.5m, depth of 3m in Phan Dien
commune; landslides on some coastal roads in Ta Bo field, Phan Hoa commune.
Total damage was estimated at nearly 2.7 billion VND.
Bac Binh District
People's Committee also proposed the Department of Agriculture and Rural
Development, the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search
and Rescue and relevant departments and agencies to advise the Provincial
People's Committee to support to damaged farmers in order to soon restore
production and stabilize their lives.
