Banana growers must comply with phytosanitary requirements if exporting to China

According to the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, he
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the General Administration of
Customs of China have just signed the "Protocol on phytosanitary requirements
for fresh bananas of Vietnam exporting to China". Under this Protocol,
Vietnamese bananas exporting to China must comply with phytosanitary
requirements and not be contaminated with any plant quarantine object that Chinese
side concerns.
In
order to well prepare for the export of fresh bananas as stipulated in the
Protocol, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has requested
the Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection to review the banana production
areas and packing houses that have codes or are wishing to export to China must
ensure compliance with the provisions of the Protocol. Organizing training and
propaganda for growing areas; packing houses and exporters of fresh bananas on
the provisions of the Protocol on phytosanitary requirements for fresh bananas of
Vietnam exporting to China. Carrying out the periodic monitoring to ensure that
the banana production areas and packing houses that have been granted codes
always meet Chinese regulations.
The
People's Committees of districts, towns and city shall coordinate with the
Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection in guiding production areas
and packing houses to export fresh bananas to China in compliance with the
provisions of the Protocol. Propagandizing organizations and individuals
wishing to export fresh bananas to China on the provisions of the Protocol to
ensure the compliance with current regulations.

and individuals wishing to register or already granted production area or
packaging house codes that exports bananas to China must comply with the
provisions at The process of setting up and monitoring the production area:
TCCS 774:2020/BVTV and The process of setting up and monitoring packing house:
TCCS 775:2020/BVTV as well as the requirements in the “Protocol on
phytosanitary requirements for fresh bananas of Vietnam exporting to China”.
