Binh Thuan begins the COVID-19 vaccination campaign for children aged 12 - 17

the morning of November 27, 2021, Phan Thiet city has started the COVID-19
vaccination for children aged 12-17, phase 1 in 2021. Phan Thiet is also the
first locality in the province to implement the plan of COVID-19 vaccination
for children. The task of ensuring safety of children before, during and after
the injection has been placed at the top priority by the locality.
According to the plan
of the Health Center of Phan Thiet city, the city will deploy injections for
children 12-17 years old at 02 concentrated injection points at Tran Hung Dao
High School for the Gifted and injection points in the wards and communes, including:
Tien Thanh, Phu Thuy, Ham Tien, Thien Nghiep, Mui Ne. On November 28, the City
Health Center will continue to expand more injection points in wards: Ham Tien,
Thien Nghiep, Tien Thanh, Phu Thuy.
According to
statistics, Phan Thiet city has about 28,600 children aged 12-17. In phase 1,
the city will deploy the vaccination for 9,000 children, and it is expected to
complete phase 1 before November 29, 2021.

Thiet City Health Center - Le Huy Thuan said: “We have carried out screening
tests for children before vaccination in accordance with the instructions of
the Ministry of Health. With the goal of ensuring safe and effective injection,
the Center has cooperated well with agencies, departments and sectors in the
injection implementation. The work on vaccination and screening particularly is
done directly by the Health Center”.
In the first phase,
about 43,000 children are expected to receive the first dose of Comirnaty
vaccine manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech of the United States. This phase will
be completed by December 2, 2021./.
