Binh Thuan effectively implemented the 2022 spring vaccination campaign

the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the spring of 2022, since January 31, 2021,
Binh Thuan's health sector has injected more than 60,000 doses of COVID-19
vaccine, including additional injection and booster injection for people on
schedule.
According to the
latest data from the Department of Health, as of the morning 18/02/2022, Binh
Thuan has injected 61,673 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the spring vaccination
campaign 2022, specifically: 2,826 shots of second dose and 51,382 shots of
third dose for people aged 18 and over; 7,465 shots of first dose for children
from 12 to 17 years old.
Thanks to the active
and drastic participation of the entire health sector, the rate of people over
18 years old who received 2 doses of vaccine in the whole province reaches
99.2%, the rate of children aged 12 - 17 years old who received 2 doses of
vaccine reaches 94.2%. As for the implementation of the 3rd injection for
people aged 18 years and older, Binh Thuan province has administered 334,102
doses, reaching a coverage rate of 37% of the population (aged 18 years and
older).
Currently, the Health
sector is coordinating with localities to prepare conditions for COVID-19
vaccination for children aged 5-11 when there are instructions and vaccine
distribution from the Ministry of Health. According the Department of Health,
it is expected that Binh Thuan province will have more than 145,000 children
aged 5-11 years old to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
At the online
conference on implementing health sector duties in 2022 on the morning of 20/01/2022,
the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh launched the spring COVID-19 vaccination
campaign from 01/02 to the end of 28/02/2022. The goal of the spring
vaccination campaign is to quickly complete full primary shots for children 12
to 17 years old and to cover additional and booster shots for people 18 years
of age and older. Thereby limiting the risk of infection, reducing the number
of cases, reducing the rate of severe transfer and death. The implementation of
the campaign also has the effect of not interrupting the COVID-19 vaccination
for people when indicated and on schedule during the Lunar New Year in 2022./.
