Binh Thuan focuses on anti-smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting solutions

The Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-smuggling, Trade Fraud and
Counterfeit Goods has just prepared a plan to fight against smuggling, commercial
fraud and counterfeit goods in 2023 in the province.
Accordingly,
the Provincial Market Surveillance Department must regularly inspect and
supervise organizations and individuals that produce and trade in goods and
services in the province on their compliance with the provisions of the law on
prices and listings, listing prices and selling at listed prices; promptly
detecting and strictly handling acts of speculation, hoarding, raising prices,
causing market instability, especially during the organization of activities
for the Visit Vietnam Year 2023 and holidays and Tet... Strengthening
inspection, detecting and promptly handling acts of trading in smuggled goods,
counterfeit goods, banned goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin,
goods infringing upon intellectual property rights, violations in the field of
pricing and e-commerce activities. Paying attention to the fight against
counterfeiting, goods of unknown origin and infringement of intellectual
property rights for handbags, wallets, shoes, sandals, food, functional foods, watches,
cosmetics, consumer goods ... in the areas, at markets, famous tourist areas.
The
Provincial Public Security Department shall direct functional units,
professional units and local police forces to firmly grasp the situation and
market developments, identifying routes, locations, key objects, products, and
popular rising activities; From there, identifying new operational methods and
tricks and actively developing plans to fight against and prevent crimes,
handle and dismantle lines, groups, and gathering places of smuggled goods,
production and trading of counterfeit goods, banned goods, goods of unknown
origin, goods infringing upon intellectual property rights; promptly detecting,
arresting and strictly handling the masterminds and leaders.
The
Provincial Border Guard Command shall firmly grasp the situation of the area
and subjects; strengthen the strict management of maritime border areas;
proactively launch the peak waves to fight and suppress all kinds of crimes;
strengthen patrolling, inspection and control of smugglers, ships entering and
leaving at estuaries, transversal flats, key areas, means of transport entering
and leaving, anchoring at sea. Preventing illegal entry and exit of goods,
illegal transportation of goods across the sea border.
Media
agencies in the province shall coordinate with localities and functional forces
to report on cases of arrest, settlement, violations, methods and tricks of the
subjects; at the same time, propagandize the risks and harms of smuggled goods,
counterfeit goods, unsatisfactory quality, especially for food products,
pharmaceuticals, functional foods, cosmetics, medicinal herbs, traditional
medicine, pesticides... for people to know, prevent and promptly report signs
and violations.
