Binh Thuan has effectively implemented the Target Program “the agricultural economy restructuring and natural disaster prevention and mitigation for stabilizing people's lives”

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Implementing the target program “the agricultural
economy restructuring and natural disaster prevention and mitigation for stabilizing
people's lives” under the Decision No. 923/QD-TTg dated June 28, 2017 of the
Prime Minister and the guiding documents off ministries and central agencies, in
the past time, Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant
departments, agencies and localities to effectively implement the program.
Accordingly, through
the support component on agricultural economy restructuring and the support component
on natural disaster prevention and mitigation, Binh Thuan province has properly
implemented the program's objectives on supporting agricultural cooperatives to
reorganize and improve operational efficiency in accordance with the Law on
Cooperatives 2012; supporting enterprises to implement investment projects in
agriculture and rural sectors, and supporting and strengthening the system of
sea dikes and embankments; investing in the drought and disaster recovery
projects.
In addition, in order
to implement the target program on restructuring the agricultural sector,
preventing and reducing natural disasters, and stabilizing people's lives, the
province has supported 368 households who have lost their houses due to natural
disasters by arranging to move into 05 residential areas, namely Ho Tom
resettlement area (in Tan Phuoc Commune, La Gi Town), Ba Dang residential area
(in Tan Hai commune, La Gi town), A3 residential area (in Chi Cong commune, Tuy
Phong district), Hong Chinh III residential area (in Hoa Thang commune, Bac
Binh district), Rung Sen residential area (in Gia Huynh commune, Tanh Linh
district).
