(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, tourism activities in Binh Thuan Province will remain vibrant during the 2025 At Ty Lunar New Year. The province is expected to welcome approximately 220,000 visitors, a 10% increase compared to last year's traditional Tet holiday, with estimated tourism revenue reaching 360 billion VND.
From January 29 to February 1 (the 1st to the 4th day of Tet), the number of visitors to Binh Thuan gradually increased each day. Notably, on the 3rd day of Tet, there was a sudden surge in visitors, with personal cars and motorbikes filling the streets of Phan Thiet City and key tourist areas such as Ham Tien - Mui Ne, Tien Thanh - Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi, and Tuy Phong. Hotel occupancy rates ranged from 75% to 85%, with 3- to 5-star accommodations in Phan Thiet City reaching over 90% occupancy before, during, and after Tet.
According to assessments, this year's traditional Tet holiday saw a trend of tourists preferring high-end accommodations with sea views, traveling in groups of friends or families. On the morning of the 3rd day of Tet, most hotels in the city center of Phan Thiet and resorts rated three stars or higher in Ham Tien - Mui Ne and Tien Thanh - Ham Thuan Nam were fully booked.
In addition to various cultural, sports, and tourism events celebrating the Party and the 2025 At Ty Spring Festival, Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan offered numerous festive entertainment activities organized by resorts, hotels, and tourist attractions during Tet. These included the Chung Cake Festival, traditional Tet market, Tet culinary gala, folk games, Tet playgrounds, lion and dragon dance performances, and Vietnamese Tet cultural spaces, etc. Among these, the grand festival organized by NovaWorld Phan Thiet stood out, attracting a large number of tourists. Furthermore, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with key tourism localities, took early action to ensure a well-managed tourism environment and maintain high-quality services for visitors during the holiday.
At the same time, businesses proactively launched discount programs to stimulate tourism demand, introduced many new and attractive travel packages, and prioritized service quality. They adopted a customer service approach of treating guests like family, ensured transparent pricing with listed rates, and adhered to selling at the posted prices. Notably, on the morning of the first day of Tet, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the tourism sector organized a special welcome event, extending Tet greetings and giving lucky money to nearly 100 visitors who were the first to arrive, stay, and celebrate Tet at accomodations in Binh Thuan. This thoughtful gesture created a pleasant surprise and left a lasting positive impression of Binh Thuan tourism in the hearts of visitors.
