Binh Thuan: Payment of pensions and social insurance benefits at new regime to 18,537 people

(binhthuan.gov.vn) In order to promptly ensure the
rights of beneficiaries according to Decree No. 75/2024/ND-CP dated June 30,
2024 of the Government on adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and
monthly benefits, the Provincial Social Security has coordinated with the Post
Office to organize the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits
according to the new regime from July 1, 2024.
On June 29, 2024, the National Assembly passed the
Resolution of the 7th meeting of the 15th National
Assembly. One of the notable contents of the Resolution is the agreement to
adjust the increase of pensions and social insurance benefits by 15% from July
1, 2024.
According to the Resolution, from July 1, 2024, an
increase of 15% on the pension, social insurance allowance and monthly
allowance of June 2024 will be adjusted. The scope of application is wide,
including people receiving pensions from participating in compulsory social
insurance (public and private sectors) and people participating in voluntary
social insurance. At the same time, for people receiving pension before 1995, after
adjustment, if the benefit level is lower than 3.2 million VND/month, the
adjustment will increase by 0.3 million VND/month, with the benefit level from
3.2 million VND/month to less than 3.5 million VND/month, then adjusted to 3.5
million VND/month.
In order to promptly ensure that people receive
pensions and social insurance benefits at the new regime as soon as possible,
Vietnam Social Security has asked social insurance of provinces and cities to
focus on ensuring good funding sources, human resources, and information
technology..., ensuring on time and full payment to beneficiaries from July 1,
2024 (including in cash and via bank accounts). In addition, social insurance
in provinces and cities need to strengthen inspection and supervision of the
payment process to beneficiaries; coordinate, resolve and completely handle
arising situations, promptly report problems during the organization and
implementation process. Proactively coordinate with relevant agencies to
increase propaganda and dissemination to beneficiaries about benefits according
to the new regime and payment schedules so that people can proactively grasp
the information.
Implementing the requirements of Vietnam Social
Insurance, Binh Thuan Social Insurance has fully prepared funding and human
resources to ensure the legitimate rights of insurance beneficiaries. It is
known that in the July payment period, Binh Thuan Social Insurance paid
pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly benefits according to the new regime
to 18,537 people with a total payment of more than 124 billion VND./.
