Binh Thuan Province has added 04 more products to the list of "4-Star OCOP Products"

(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the evaluation results and issuing certificates for products that achieved 4 stars under the One Commune, One Product (OCOP) program in Binh Thuan Province, during the first round of 2024.

 

Accordingly, in the first round of 2024, the Provincial People's Committee approved 04 products that achieved "4-Star OCOP Products." These include 02 products from the spice category of Thuan Hung Fish Sauce Production Co., Ltd., namely: Thuan Hung Traditional Anchovy Fish Sauce 60°N and Thuan Hung Anchovy Fish Sauce 35°N; Thuan Hung Fish Sauce Production Co., Ltd. is located at Lot 01, Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster, Quarter 1, Phu Hai Ward, Phan Thiet City. The other 02 products, from the raw and semi-processed food category, are from Duc Binh Agricultural Service Cooperative, namely: Duc Lan Brown Rice (ST25) and Duc Lan Rice (ST25); Duc Binh Agricultural Service Cooperative is located at No. 118, National Route 55, Hamlet 3, Village 3, Duc Binh Commune, Tan Linh District.

 

The products that achieved "4-Star OCOP Products" mentioned above will be issued certificates by the Provincial People's Committee and will be allowed to use the 4-Star OCOP certification logo on their product packaging in accordance with regulations. The certificate for these 4-Star OCOP products will be valid for 36 months, starting from January 13, 2025.

 

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for advising the Provincial People's Committee to organize the announcement of the results and the presentation of certificates to the products recognized as 4-Star OCOP products mentioned above. At the same time, it must guide localities and relevant stakeholders in the production process to properly use and print the OCOP certification logo on the recognized products in accordance with legal regulations. Additionally, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development must take the lead, coordinating with other departments, agencies, and People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to conduct annual inspections of these products. It must also propose actions to handle violations if stakeholders breach the regulations on managing and using the OCOP certification logo and other legal requirements.

 

It is known that the One Commune, One Product (OCOP) Program is an economic development program for rural areas, aimed at promoting internal resources, increasing value, and improving the income of rural residents, thereby contributing to the development of new rural areas.
