Binh Thuan province to implement the One commune, one product Program in 2021

of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a dispatch to request the
relevant departments and agencies and the People's Committees of districts,
towns and cities to implement the One commune, one product Program (OCOP) in
2021.
Accordingly, the Department of
Agriculture and Rural Development is assigned to coordinate with relevant
departments, agencies and the People's Committees of districts, towns and
cities to focus on implementing solutions to maximize potentials and advantages
of the locality, especially in terms of raw materials, labor, industries and
rural tourism to improve the quality of OCOP products, contributing to economic
development, improving rural people's income associated with building
sustainably a new countryside. At the same time, continuing to evaluate and
grade the OCOP products in 2021 according to the prescribed regulations.
The Department of Industry and Trade
is assigned to coordinate with localities to actively propose, perform,
coordinate the trade promotion activities, to connect the consumption of
products under the OCOP Binh Thuan Program at fairs, exhibitions, ...; to update
domestic and international market information related to OCOP products; to perform
the state management on commercial activities of the system of centers, points
of introduction and sale of OCOP Binh Thuan products inside and outside the
province. In addition, to guides and supports the economic organizations,
households producing and trading OCOP products to build e-commerce websites,
participate in online promotion channels, e-commerce platforms to promote,
introduce and sell products online.
The Department of Science and
Technology is assigned to coordinate with the Departments, agencies and
localities to support the economic organizations and farmers in applying
technical standards and regulations; to synthesize and propose the annual
science and technology tasks; to assist localities in registering intellectual
property of OCOP products, to consult and orient the brand name development for
OCOP products, ...
