Binh Thuan receives more than 360,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Recently, the
Ministry of Health has allocated 361,530 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Binh Thuan
to deploy injections for people 12 years of age and older.
Particularly, out of the total of
361,530 doses of Pfizer vaccine, there are 232,140 doses for children 12-17
years old with 1st and 2nd injections; 129,390 doses are used to return the 2nd
dose to people 18 years of age and older who have received 1st dose of Pfizer
vaccine for the prescribed time.
As planned by Department of Health,
the district health centers must complete 2 full doses for people aged 18 years
and older; ensuring the injections for children aged 12-17 to be on schedule
and within the prescribed time before December 31, 2021.
To speed up the schedule as planned,
the Department of Health has asked localities to increase the number of
injection tables and injection points. The injection points must ensure the
prevention and control of COVID-19; vaccination safety; promptly handling cases
of adverse events occurring after injection; timely updating of injection data
to the “National Immunization System” after each day.

the Provincial CDC
As of December 17, 2021, the total
number of Binh Thuan people aged 18 and older who received the first dose is
892,598, reaching 98.9%; 701,738 people received the second dose, reaching the
rate of 77.7%.
For children from 12 - 17 years old,
the province has 135,851 children, 57,738 children received the 1st dose
(42.5%), 155 children received the 2nd dose (0.11%)./.
