Binh Thuan receives nearly 4.5 million visitors in the first 6 months of the year

(binhthuan.gov.vn) In the first 6 months of 2023, tourism
activities were quite bustling, travel services operated stably and continued
to grow, restaurants and catering businesses ensured food quality, safety and
hygiene, listed prices, and complied with regulations of authorities. In
addition, the Phu Quy island tourist route, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay, Vinh Hao -
Phan Thiet highways came into operation, has attracted many tourists to visit
and experience the unique tourism products of Binh Thuan.
Along with that, in response
to the 2023 Visit Vietnam Year "Binh Thuan – Green Tourism Comes Together",
in Phan Thiet city and some localities in the province, the national-level
cultural and sports activities such as Stop And Run Marathon Binh Thuan 2023,
kite flying festival on the beach of Phan Thiet city, Miss & Mister Fitness
Super Model World Championships 2023, and final of the 2023 billiards
championships, the National Championship of Traditional Boat Racing 2023 …
attracted a large number of visitors, so the revenue and number of visitors
increased compared to the same period last year.

Statistics Office, in the first 6 months of 2023, the number of tourists coming
to Binh Thuan is estimated at 4.46 million (an increase of 86.36% over the same
period last year), of which about 134,000 international visitors were mainly
from Korea, the UK, the US, China... (5.41 times over the same period last
year). Revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 10,400 billion VND (an
increase of nearly 70% compared to the same period in 2022).
Particularly, the number of
tourists in June is estimated at 829.4 thousand arrivals (up by 2.4% over the
previous month), international visitors is estimated at 22.6 thousand arrivals
(up by 2.87% over the previous month), revenue of accommodation services is
estimated at 474 billion VND (up by 2.37% compared to the previous month), food
service is estimated at 1,437.2 billion VND (up by 2.03% compared to the
previous month), and travel activities supporting tourism is estimated at 14.69
billion VND (up by 2.6% compared to the previous month)..
