(binhthuan.gov.vn) In
the afternoon of 14/6/2021, the Ministry of Health issued a Dispatch directing
"Provinces and cities to speed up the progress of COVID-19 vaccination,
completing before 18/6/2021, and ensuring the safety. In order to increase
vaccination coverage, the localities should not wait for the second injection
for those who have already received the first dose”. Executing the direction of
the Ministry, in the morning of 15/6, Binh Thuan Department of Health held an
online meeting with hospitals and district health centers across the province
to review the preparation for shortening the vaccination time under the
direction of the Ministry of Health and ensuring vaccination safety.
As reported by the
Department of Health, the province currently has 11 injection sites with 19,000
allocated doses of vaccine. Up to now, all units have completed the
preparation, with more tables, medical staffs in charge of screening and
ensuring vaccination safety before, during and after injection. It is expected
that each injection site will have about 04 tables, which is increased of 02
tables compared to phase 1. Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital particularly
will arrange 06 injection tables. This is the injection site with the highest
volume of vaccines in the province with 3,500 doses.
At the meeting, many
hospitals and district health centers proposed to classify the list of people expected
to be vaccinated according to different time frames, to avoid crowding at
injection sites. This approach will contribute to ensuring the safety of
epidemic prevention during the vaccination process.
Doctor Le Van Hong -
Deputy Director of the Department of Health directed: Depending on the capacity
of each unit, COVID-19vaccination can be started in the afternoon of 15/6. The
injection program is carried out continuously every day, including Saturday,
Sunday and finished before or on 21/6/2021. Throughout the vaccination process,
the safety must be placed as the top priority. In addition, Binh Thuan
Provincial General Hospital must always be ready to support the lower level
units for professional works./.
