Binh Thuan to deploy COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5 - 11
(binhthuan.gov.vn)
On April 21, 2022, localities in the province simultaneously deployed
vaccination for children aged 5-11. With prior preparation, vaccination will
continue to be carried out safely and effectively by Binh Thuan province.
Previously, the
Department of Health has allocated 11,000 doses of Mordena vaccine to
localities for vaccination for children. In the near future, Dong Nai will be
allocated 22,000 more doses of vaccine by the Ministry of Health for children
aged 5-11, bringing the total number of vaccines in two phases to more than
30,000 doses. However, this number of vaccines is still insufficient compared
to the total of more than 126,000 children in the above group.
Phan Thiet is one of
many localities that soon implemented vaccination for children in this phase.
This is also the locality with the highest number of vaccinated children in the
province. In this distribution, Phan Thiet received 1,730 doses, the highest in
the province.
Vaccination will not
disrupt the school program of pupils
Before the
vaccination, the school collected opinions from parents
Medical staff conducts
health check-ups and vaccinations for children
Pupils are monitored
their health after injection
The pupils are
completely comfortable and worry-free when taking vaccine
Some parents observe
their children's vaccinations
In the context of
reopening, social activities are returned to normal, vaccination for children
aged 5 to under 12 is absolutely necessary to protect children's health.
Therefore, parents should give their children the opportunity to be vaccinated
to prevent and control effectively the disease and, if they are unfortunately
infected with COVID-19, they will reduce the risk of severe disease and
minimize cases of death.
On the other hand,
vaccination is also a factor to move towards to normalization and create better
herd immunity in order to contribute to ending epidemics early, just like
chickenpox, polio... have been controlled before with vaccines./.
