Binh Thuan to deploy solutions to support people in disaster areas

In recent years, Binh Thuan province has been directly affected by complicated
weather conditions along with the abnormality of other types of natural
disasters, such as: Drought, increasing temperature, changing rainfall,
tornadoes, hailstorms, floods, etc. Sea invasion and changes in the flow of
rivers have caused serious erosion on the coast and riverbank, directly
affecting people's daily activities and lives and causing damages to human
lives and properties of the State and the people.
To response to
climate change and natural disasters, the Provincial People's Committee has
implemented solutions on preventing and avoiding natural disasters, limiting
and overcoming erosions along the coasts and rivers. Accordingly, the irrigation
works have been built before the rainy and stormy season; developing plans for
management and operation of reservoirs for the service of drought and flood
control; plans for prevention and avoidance of natural disasters, floods and
storms; proactively arranging and rearranging the population in coastal and
riverside areas, especially areas directly affected by natural disasters and
coastal erosions; proactively developing and implementing evacuation plans in
key areas during the rainy and stormy season to respond to natural disasters.
