Binh Thuan tourism welcomed over 9.6 million visitors in 2024

According the Provincial Statistics Office, in 2024, Binh Thuan's tourism
industry continued to grow, contributing to the socio-economic development of
the region. By leveraging its advantages as a destination and effectively
utilizing favorable factors, tourism promotion efforts have been strengthened.
Many destinations, such as NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Phu Quy Island, community
tourism areas in Tan Linh District, Cu Lao Cau, and others are gradually
establishing their position and attracting a large number of domestic and
international visitors.
In the
year, the number of tourists visiting Binh Thuan is estimated to reach over 9.6
million visitors, a 15.64% increase compared to the previous year. The number
of international visitors is estimated to exceed 393,000 arrivals, an increase
of 43.41% compared to the previous year. The international visitors to the
province primarily came from South Korea, China, Russia, Germany, the UK, the
US, France, the Netherlands, and others.
In
December, several cultural and sports events took place in the province, such
as the 2nd VTF President’s Cup Taekwondo Championship 2024, the
National Art Kite Festival, and the "Welcome 2025" Program. These
events attracted both tourists and local residents. As a result, the number of
tourists for the month is estimated to reach nearly 852,000 arrivals, a 2.14%
increase compared to the previous month and a 20.04% increase compared to the
same period last year. The number of international visitors in December is
estimated at 41,500 arrivals, a 10.98% increase compared to the previous month
and a 35.99% increase compared to the same period last year.
Revenue
from tourism activities in December is estimated to reach over 2.16 trillion
VND, a 1.47% increase compared to the previous month and a 16.72% increase
compared to the same period last year. The total estimated revenue for the year
2024 is over 25.8 trillion VND, a 15.77% increase compared to the previous
year.
