Binh Thuan welcomed about 13,500 arrivals on the occasion of New Year 2022

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on the occasion of
New Year 2022, the employees are entitled to 3 days off, creating favorable
conditions for short-term tours to Binh Thuan. Accordingly, the whole province
is estimated to welcome about 13,500 tourist arrivals including visitors and
in-house guests.
The majority of in-house
guests are domestic tourists staying at Ham Tien - Mui Ne resorts; the
accommodation establishments from 4 to 5-star reached an average occupied room
capacity of 70-90%. The rest of the accommodation establishments had the occupied
room capacity of about 40 -60%. Visitors to Binh Thuan were mainly groups of
friends and family; The picnic tourists mainly staying at Hon Rom and La Gi
areas.
Most tourist
accommodation establishments strictly followed the Covid-19 epidemic prevention
and control according to the guidance of the authorities.
In order to ensure
the safety for tourists to visit and relax in Binh Thuan, the Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested districts, towns, cities, tourist
attractions, and tourism businesses to well implement the work of serving
tourists during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2022. Implementing Resolution
No. 128/NQ-CP of the Government, in the past time, the Department of Culture,
Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province also adjusted the content of temporary
guidance on measures "Safe, flexible adaptation, and effective control over
the Covid-19 epidemic", whereby testing is not mandatory for tourists come
from the green and yellow zones.
Up to now, Binh Thuan
has more than 100 accommodation establishments qualified to welcome guests
according to the safety criteria for Covid-19 prevention and control, most of
which are 3 to 5-star accommodation establishments and are concentrated in Phan
Thiet city.
