Biosafety and environment-friendly in breeding

Over the years, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center has transferred
scientific and technical advances in cultivation, animal husbandry and
aquaculture in the direction of responding to climate change; biosafety and
environmental friendliness towards sustainable agricultural production and
value added increase, especially models that focus on using organic materials,
biological pesticides, herbs, biological products in agricultural production.
Accordingly, in 2017,
the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center transferred 8,400 sea ducks to
coastal communes of the province that applied the breeding model using bio-buffer.
The model was first implemented in 02 coastal communes, Tan Thang and Thang
Hai, Ham Tan district. The provincial Agricultural Extension Center said that
the total cost for 100 sea ducks raised from 55 days to 60 days old is about
10,697,000 VND, with the selling price of 34,000 VND/kg, the profit is 8,494
VND/kg, the revenue is about 13,300,000 VND, after deducting expenses, people
earn an average of 2,633,000 VND/100 ducks.
The obtained results
have gained the consensus of many people, therefore, the model of raising sea
ducks on the bio-buffer was expanded and implemented in coastal communes such
as Tien Thanh, Thien Nghiep of the province, Phan Thiet city; Tam Thanh, Ngu
Phung, Long Hai communes of Phu Quy island district; Binh Thanh and Chi Cong
communes of Tuy Phong district.
