Budget revenue in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year

(binhthuan.gov.vn) By the end of the first quarter of 2024, the province's budget revenue is estimated to reach nearly 30% of the year's estimate and increased by 10% compared to the same period in 2023.
According to the Provincial Statistics Office, the estimated budget revenue in March reaches 798 billion VND, down by 12.1% over the same period last year. Accumulated state budget revenue in the first quarter of 2024 is estimated to reach 2,906.5 billion VND, reaching 29.1% of the year’s estimate and increasing by 10% over the same period last year, of which domestic revenue is 2,645.7 billion VND, reaching 29.4% of the yearly estimate, an increase of 10.2%.
The total budget revenue includes: taxes, fees and other revenues of 2,401.1 billion VND, reaching 31.6% of the year's estimate, an increase of 5.2%; house and land rent collection of 244.7 billion VND, reaching 17.4% of the yearly estimate, an increase of 2.1% (of which land use fee collection: 119.9 billion VND, reaching 10% of the yearly estimate, up by 21.42% over the same period last year); import-export tax collection of 260.7 billion VND, reaching 26.2% of the year’s estimate and increasing by 7.9% over the same period last year.
Particularly for districts, towns and cities, revenue in March is estimated at 364.3 billion VND; in the first quarter of 2024, revenue reaches 1,174.4 billion VND, reaching 34.4% of the yearly estimate, an increase of 14.9% over the same period last year. Of these, 5/10 localities have the estimated budget revenue higher than the same period, specifically: Phan Thiet at 552.3 billion VND (reaching 40.4% of the estimate, an increase of 54.4%); La Gi at 78.5 billion VND (reaching 41.1% of the estimate, up by 27.3%); Ham Thuan Bac at 117.2 billion VND (reaching 31.5% of the estimate, up by 26.3%); Duc Linh at 69 billion VND (reaching 54.7% of estimate, up by 7%); Phu Quy at 10.3 billion VND (reaching 44.9% of the estimate, up by 44.9%).
There are 5/10 localities which have the budget revenue lower than the same period: Tuy Phong at 72.9 billion VND (reaching 21.6% of estimate, down by 13.5%); Bac Binh at 91.3 billion VND (reaching 23.1% of estimate, down by 36%); Ham Thuan Nam at 96.5 billion VND (reaching 31.7% of estimate, down by 7%); Ham Tan at 61.1 billion VND (reaching 32% of estimate, down by 19.1%); Tanh Linh at 25.1 billion VND (reaching 24.2% of the estimate, down by 22.3%).
In order to continue to deploy effectively the state budget collection, while creating a healthy and fair competitive environment for taxpayers, the tax sector will strictly strengthen the management of local budget revenue sources as well as strengthen tax collection management, collecting taxes correctly, sufficiently and promptly; synchronously deploying tax management measures, including continuing to innovate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of tax inspection, tax debt management, and strictly control of tax refunds, prevent tax losses, especially in the fields of capital transfer, real estate transfer, affiliate and business transactions on digital platforms; effectively implementing tax management projects... ./.
