Business environment Improvement and (PCI) provincial competitiveness enhancement in Binh Thuan province in 2021

order to raise awareness and actions of sectors at all levels with the
cross-cutting goal of "Government accompanies with businesses"; upholding
the spirit and attitude of serving businesses and investors, constantly
innovating, improving the quality of management for the purpose of improving
the business investment environment, enhancing competitiveness for the
development of the businesses and socio-economics of the province. Striving to
bring Binh Thuan from the "average ranking" group to the "good
ranking" group of the whole country in terms of Provincial Competitiveness
Index (PCI) in 2021 and the following years; The Provincial People's Committee
has just issued a plan to perform tasks for improving the business environment
and enhancing the competitiveness (PCI) in Binh Thuan province in 2021.
Accordingly, the
Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Planning and
Investment as the focal point to monitor, summarize, report and propose the
solutions for improving the PCI in 2021; at the same time, to chair over and
coordinate with relevant departments and agencies and Da Nang Institute of
Socio-Economic Research to conduct surveys, evaluate analysis and submit them
to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of the assessment survey
results of Binh Thuan departmental and district competitiveness index (DDCI) in
2020. Reviewing and advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue
regulations on the settlement of investment procedures for the non-capital
state budget projects in the province in accordance with the 2020 Investment
Law and Decree no. 31/2021/ND-CP dated 26/3/2021 of the Government on detailing
and guiding the implementation of the Investment Law. At the same time,
continuing to review and advise the Provincial People's Committee to withdraw
projects that are slow in construction.
The Provincial
People's Committee has also requested the heads of departments, agencies and
the chairpersons of the People's Committees of the districts, towns and cities
to continue to direct and promote the results achieved in the 03
point-increased criteria, 03 rank-increased criteria, and to overcome and
improve the shortcomings and limitations in 07 point-decreased criteria,
especially 05 criteria that have reduced in both point and rank of the
Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2020. Accelerating the implementation of
the Plans issued by the Provincial People's Committee on continuing to perform
the main tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance
the national competitiveness. Focusing on the direction of the Provincial
People's Committee on solutions for removing difficulties in production and
business activities, investment capital disbursement, and ensuring social
security, social order and safety, responding to Covid-19, etc.
