Conference on experience sharing in implementation of the 2018 General Education Program

In order to implement the 2018 General Education Program (GET) more effectively
in the coming time. On February 4, the Department of Education and Training of
Binh Thuan province coordinated with the Department of Education and Training
of Can Tho city and Ninh Thuan province to organize a conference to share
experiences.
At
the conference, all three units: Binh Thuan, Can Tho city and Ninh Thuan
province shared information during the implementation of the 2018 GET Program. In
the past time, all 3 units have focused on investing in facilities,
standardizing teaching and learning equipment, building management leaders to
ensure the quantity and standards, enhancing the digital transformation in the
database for teaching and learning the 2018 GET Program to ensure the
requirements set forth. Along with that, the teaching staffs has the
flexibility to innovate teaching methods such as organizing many outdoor
activities, taking multiple-choice exams, promoting students' thinking and
problem-solving ability, combining “Teaching letters” and “Teaching people”.
Communication work is also concerned by localities to convey to all classes of
people, parents and students to understand the meaning and process of
implementing the 2018 GET Program...
Besides
the advantages, the units also shared the difficulties and inadequacies in the
implementation of the 2018 GET Program, such as: The shortage of teachers;
teacher staffs are not synchronized; general education textbooks still have
many limitations; shortage of classrooms, subject rooms, function rooms,
playgrounds, training grounds...
Within
the framework of the conference, the Departments of Education and Training of
Binh Thuan province, Ninh Thuan city, Can Tho province and Phuong Nam Joint
Stock Company organized a friendly men’s football tournament. Through this
activity, it has contributed to improve the movement of physical training and
sports and health training among civil servants and public employees. At the
same time, tightening the relationship and solidarity among units in the
education sector.
