Conference on implementation of the National Green Growth Strategy for 2021-2030 period, vision to 2050

October 29, 2021, the Ministry of Planning and Investment held an online
conference on implementation of the National on Green Growth Strategy for
2021-2030 period, vision to 2050. Attending at Binh Thuan bridge point, there
were representative leaders of the Departments: Planning and Investment; Natural
Resources and Environment; Agriculture and Rural Development; Industry and
Trade; Science and technology.
The target of the strategy is to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions per GDP by at least 15% by 2030 and at least
30% by 2050 compared to 2014. By 2030, 95% of urban solid waste will be
collected and treated in accordance with regulations. The rate of urban
wastewater collected and treated according to the prescribed standards and
regulations is above 50% for urban centers of grade II or higher, and 20% for
other types of urban centers.
Concluding the conference, the
Minister of Planning and Investment - Nguyen Chi Dung said that the coordination
in implementation of the National Green Growth Strategy is of special
importance; In which, the support and close coordination of ministries,
agencies, domestic and international organizations, business community, experts
play a fundamental role...
The Minister said: The Ministry of
Planning and Investment will preside over and coordinate with ministries,
agencies and localities to study and propose to the Prime Minister to establish
a National Steering Committee on Green Growth; constructing a national action
plan on green growth as well as other important assigned missions./.
